The dredging of three reservoirs in East Jakarta continues to be accelerated. These three reservoirs are Giri Kencana Reservoir on Jalan Giri Kencana Cilangkap, Tiu Reservoir in Setu Urban Village, and Halim Perdana Kusuma Reservoir in Cipinang Melayu Urban Village.

"I had monitored the work before. I want it can be accelerated to accommodate rainwater in large quantities by the end of this year," stated East Jakarta Economy and Development Division Kusmanto, Monday (8/8).

As for the construction of Halim Perdana Kusuma Reservoir, the wet section has begun to show and accommodate the discharge of the Sulaeman Connecting Channel at RW 02 Cipinang Melayu.

"Its construction is realized in collaboration with the East Jakarta Water Resources and Environment sub-agencies," he explained.

Hopefully, it could be completed on time in order to face the upcoming rainy season and flooding.
